After completing the research proposal, you will have a couple of weeks to continue refining your thesis and researching your topic. You should use this time to make significant improvements or additions to your proposal draft. This essay should include additional historical background or trends that have defined and shaped your problem as you perceive it today. These historical factors can be identified as scientific, social, economic, political, legal, or cultural, depending on your topic. You will want to emphasixe only that information which continues to impact the problem today, keeping in mind that your final paper will focus on ameliorating the problem by way of a policy or proposal that addresses what you have argued to be its primary cause or causes.
You will also need to include one graphic illustration that provides appropriate evidence for your argument. This graphic can be either original or cited material. But if cited, it must be in proper MLA format.
