Registration
When will the new LARC schedule for next quarter be up?
Right after finals week. We understand that you are trying to plan out your schedule, but we hope you understand that LARC is trying its best to have a finalized schedule up.

When will I be able to register for LARC?
Typically, regular sign-ups begin 12:01AM on the Saturday before Week 1 of classes. You may double check by contacting the LARC office at (949) 824-6451.

How do I register for LARC?
Registering for LARC is like registering for any other class at UCI. Make sure to get the course code on the LARC website (or on WEBSOC) and register through WebReg.

What is the latest time I can register for LARC?
By the end of the 6th week. Sign up window closes at 5:00PM on Friday of the 6th week.

LARC Tutorials
When do LARC tutorials begin?
LARC tutorials begin during the first week on a Wednesday (if your tutorials are M/W) or Thursday (if your tutorials are on T/TH).

On my EEE, it says the location of my tutorial will be TBA, can you tell me where my LARC tutorial is located?
Check the LARC website under your tutorial daily to see if they have updated the room where your class would be. The location of the tutorials can always be found at the LARC website at www.larc.uci.edu.

It says RH, SST or SLIB as the location for my LARC tutorial. Where is that?
RH is the acronym for Rowland Hall, SST is the acronym for Social Science Tower, and SLIB refers to Science Library. For a full list of building abbreviations, go here.

It says lecture A, B, C, D etc... on the LARC website, how do I know which lecture I am in?
If you check WebSoc, your class lecture will have a designated letter that corresponds to your professor. LARC advises you to take a tutorial that corresponds to your lecture.

If I signed up for a LARC tutorial with a tutor who is teaching the same subject but under a different professor, is that okay?
It would be more beneficial to you if you had the right tutor corresponding to your lecture (since some teachers go at different paces and may go over/skip different materials), but this is at your own risk and there is no refund for this case.

Can I attend the LARC tutorial if I am waitlisted and asked the tutor if it's okay?
NO, waitlisted students must wait until they are added. Tutors will not allow you to be in their tutorial if you are waitlisted, this is LARC's policy.

What are my chances of being added if I was on the waitlist?
It depends. There's no guarantee that you will be added. If another student that is in that LARC tutorial has an unexcused absent for two days, he/she will be dropped and you will be moved up in the waitlist. Try to look if LARC offers any adjuncts or advanced tutorials.

If I changed my tutor/tutoring time, will I be charged an extra fee?
No, you can change tutorials in the same class subject. If you change tutorials for a different subject, you will be charged an additional $60. Look at our fee policy at www.larc.uci.edu/policy.html.

If I got dropped from my LARC tutorial, but attended 1 or 2 sessions of the tutorial, will I get refunded?
NO. Please refer to the LARC fees & policy page, or please call (949) 824-6451.
